After 20 years on the run Jamaican nabbed and returned to the USA

A man accused of  a violent attack on his ex-girlfriend has been arrested in Jamaica after more than 20 years on the run.

 

Massachusetts State Police say Arnold Gabbidon was arrested in Jamaica on August 3 and returned to Boston Wednesday. He is accused of  stabbing and slashing his ex-girlfriend as she slept in 1994.She survived the attack.

 

Mr. Gabbidon will be arraigned on charges of  armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, mayhem, threats to commit a crime, armed burglary, stalking as well as malicious destruction of  property.  After fleeing the US, Mr. Gabbidon was living with a relative in Clarendon, until he was arrested in August.
