For the third time in over a week there has been a killing in Guanaboa Vale near Kitson Town in the central parish of St. Catherine.
The latest incident occurred after 1 o'clock on Wednesday in an area called Stone Hill.
The police report that Kevin Lawrence, 25, a taxi operator and his brother were at home sleeping when men who allegedly identified themselves as police broke down the door and barged in.
Lawrence's brother managed to escape, however shortly after explosions were heard.
Lawrence was found with his throat slashed and gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.
This incident followed one on Friday night in another section of the community when three persons were shot, one fatally.
Still in St. Catherine, the Portmore Police are investigating the death of a 34 year old man whose body was found in his yard Tuesday afternoon.
He has been identified as Shenell Rowe.
