BITU serves ultimatum on Ferncourt High School

The Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) has served an ultimatum on the administration of the Ferncourt High School in St Ann. It concerns outstanding payments owed to some categories of workers at the institution.

George Nicholas, BITU Island Supervisor, told RJR News that a letter has been sent to the school's Principal, Lenworth Sterling. The union is threatening action if the matter is not addressed by the end of the week.

Mr. Nicholas said if payments are not made this Friday, he cannot guarantee normalcy come next Monday.

He said efforts to speak to school administrators on Wednesday were unsuccessful, as the bursar was said to be not in office and the principal was involved in a series of meetings.
