Body of slain Canadian tourist to be flown to Toronto

RJR News has been informed that the authorities are making arrangements for the body of Canadian tourist 35 year old Dennis Palakai to be flown to Toronto early this week.
    
According to reports in Canada, federal officials are in contact with Jamaican authorities and providing consular assistance to Mr. Palakai's family.
    
He was shot dead early Saturday morning during a robbery in West End, Negril, Westmoreland. Shortly after 3 o'clock Mr. Palakai and his girlfriend were walking from a bar to their hotel when two men drove up on a motorcycle and grabbed the woman's handbag. Mr. Palakai intervened and was shot. The woman was not hurt.
    
A senior investigator told RJR News Sunday night that the police are following leads in the case.
