The National Water Commission (NWC) says the broken main on Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew should be repaired by midnight.
According to the NWC, the damage was caused by construction activities along the road. The broken main is located in the vicinity of the Sandy Gully bridge.
Operations at the Constant Spring Treatment Plant have been suspended to facilitate emergency repairs to the NWC's 21-inch transmission main.
As a result, the NWC says several communities served by the facility are likely to experience low water pressure or have no water until operations resume.
