Councillor Mario Mitchell
Ceejay Cunningham, the 2022 recipient of the Prime Minister's National Youth Award for Excellence in Agriculture, was killed in Davyton, Manchester, Friday afternoon.
Mr Cunningham, 29, a farmer and tiler of Chantilly in Manchester, and a 33 year-old man were both shot in the incident.
According to the police, about 5:45, both men were engaged in tiling at a house under construction when a barrage of gunshots was heard inside the house.
The Police were called and Mr Cunningham was found with bullet wounds to the head and the other man, a wound to the right thigh.
Mr Cunningham died at the scene.
Councillor for the Bellefield Division, Mario Mitchell, is urging the police to identify the perpetrators who took the life of the man he described as a community role model.
