A female cruise ship passenger was arrested and charged on Wednesday with assault at common-law by members of the Ocho Rios Police Tourism Unit in St. Ann after a brawl at a store in the town.
It is reported that the visitor and friends went to the store where a dispute developed over a drink.
The visitor was told to pay for the item.
She refused and threw the item on a worker.
The police were called.
The visitor was arrested, charged and taken before the St. Ann Parish Court.
After apologising to Parish Judge Michelle Salmon and the employee, she was admonished and discharged.
