Department of Corrections head Jevene Bent to quit post

RJR News has received word that Head of  the Department of  Corrections, Jevene Bent, is leaving the post.

Well placed sources revealed that she has already communicated her decision to senior officials in the National Security Ministry as well as the Services Commission.  It's not clear what prompted Miss Bent to walk away after just over a year into her two-year contract.  

It has emerged that Miss Bent, a retired Deputy Commissioner of  Police, tendered her resignation last week. She is expected to stay on for at least a month until a temporary replacement is identified.
