District constable accused of stabbing girlfriend, offered bail

A district constable who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and then tried to kill himself earlier this year, was offered bail in the sum of $300,000 when he appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday.
 
Chevuaghn Wisdom, who is assigned to the Kingston Eastern Division, was ordered not to interfere with the complainant. 
 
He is scheduled to return to court on October 12.
 
It is alleged that Mr. Wisdom, who is represented by attorney Peter Champagnie, attacked his girlfriend during a dispute at their home in Bull Bay, St. Andrew on April 27.
