A District Constable and his common law wife were attacked at their home in Sandy Bay, Clarendon Thursday night. The couple sustained stab wounds and have been hospitalised.
According to eyewitness reports, the woman was held up outside the house by a man with a knife. She screamed for help and the District Constable responded. The two were stabbed during a struggle with the man.
Neighbours responded to the commotion and the attacker escaped. It is reported that he dropped a homemade gun. The residents handed over the weapon to the police.
