A magnitude 5.6 earthquake occurred today in Dominica, St. Lucia, and Martinique.
The quake occurred Friday morning, east of Fort-de-France in Martinique.
Ronald Jackson, head of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), said there have been no reports of injuries or damage.
However, said the quake is a reminder that the Caribbean region is a multi-hazardous environment.
Eastern Caribbean countries were also affected on Friday by Tropical Storm Kirk.
