A second report has been submitted by the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) to Energy Minister Andrew Wheatley as the probe continues into Saturday's island-wide power outage.
Following the submission of a preliminary report on Sunday, a technical report was sent to Dr. Wheatley on Tuesday.
A team at the ministry and the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) are now examining that report, "and we will be meeting with the JPS on Thursday to go through that technical report with them," he told RJR News.
The latest report provides details on the circumstances which led to the simultaneous shutdown of JPS generating units.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the outage was caused by a procedural error during maintenance work at the Port Authority of Jamaica sub-station in Kingston.
