Ex-cop, Jeffrey Peart and his sister Roxanne Peart were sentenced to life in prison when they appeared in the Montego Bay Circuit Court on Wednesday.
Peart,26, will be eligible for parole after 35 years,his sister, now 24 years old, will serve 16 years before parole.
Roxanne, who is seven months pregnant, had her sentence reduced from 18 years after her attorney requested leniency.
They were convicted and charged with the May 19, 2012 murder of Hanover taxi driver Delroy Frame.
The prosecution argued that Frame was killed because he filed a corruption charge against Mr Peart.
According to the prosecution, Miss Peart acted as an accomplice by luring Frame from Westmoreland to St Ann, where he was shot and beheaded.
His head was never found.
