Fitz Jackson new PNP Chairman

Fitz Jackson, MP for the constituency of St. Catherine South, is the new Chairman of the opposition People's National Party (PNP).

Jackson was elected during a meeting of the National Executive Council of the PNP in St. Mary on Sunday, securing 180 votes to defeat Anthony Hylton who received 79 votes.

Fitz Jackson succeeds Robert Pickersgill who was Chairman of the 79 year-old political party for 25 years.

Horace Dalley is the new Deputy Chairman.
