Flooding worsens in St. Thomas

The St. Thomas police have reported that a number of persons have had to seek shelter at the Morant Bay police station, as the roads into the eastern end of the parish are now impassable.

Lyssons, Port Morant, and the Arcadia main roads are flooded. At 9.15 p.m., RJR's St. Thomas correspondent reported that the police and firemen were making their way to rescue a female driver trapped on the road near Arcadia.

The Golden Grove road to Hordley Crossing is impassable and the Church Corner and Rosselle-to-Belevedere main road is flooded.
