Vandals have again targeted infrastructure belonging to telecommunications company, FLOW.
In a statement on Friday, FLOW said vandals damaged fibre cables which provide landline and internet services to business and residential customers in Spanish Town.
Technical teams are working to have the services restored.
More than a dozen communities have been affected.
Landline down in St. Elizabeth
Meanwhile, a breakdown in landline telephone service provided by FLOW in Black River, St. Elizabeth is having a negative effect on businesses.
The Black River Police Station has also been affected. RJR News has been informed that all the lines at the station are down.
Several business operators have resorted to using cellular phones to conduct commercial activities.
Kayon Wallace, Director of Corporate Communications at Flow, told RJR News that the challenges are also being faced by customers in sections of Old Harbour, as well as sections of Manchester.
She said teams from the company are in the process of restoring the service to its customers.
