The three foreigners detained Thursday during a Lottery Scam Taskforce operation in St. James are being investigated for their suspected involvement in organized crime.
Two Chinese nationals and a German were detained in Bogue Village.A Jamaican woman was also detained.
Spokesman for the Lottery Scam Task Force, Corporal Kevin Watson, says the foreigners were taken into custody, after they were reportedly found with fake documents.
Watson added t hat during another operation in the upscale community of Mango Walk, five persons were arrested.
One of them is believed to be linked to Tuesday's murder of former Stone Crusher gang leader Eldon Calvert.
