Former Jamaican sprint hurdler Dionne Rose Henley is dead.
Rose Henley, who turned 49 years old last month, died last night after a battle with cancer.
She represented Jamaica at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona where she made the semi-finals.
Four years later, she finished fifth in the finals at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
She has personal bests of 12.64 in the 100m hurdles and 7.96 in the indoor 60 meters hurdles.
Rose Henley's first medal for Jamaica was bronze in the long jump at the 1988 Carifta Games.
In 1991, she won silver in both the 100m hurdles and long jump.
She also won the 100m hurdles titles at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1998 and 2002.
After retiring from the sport, Rose Henley took up coaching at universities in the United States.
