Government senators passes bill for compuslory acquisition of Venezuela's Petrojam stake

The bill for the compuslory acquisition of Venezuela's 49 per cent stake in Petrojam has been passed in the Senate.
It was passed without amendment on Friday afternoon.
The vote was taken shortly after Opposition senators walked out of the sitting.
Both sides clashed after each claimed the other made untrue statements.
The bill was passed in House of Representativies on Tuesday.
The Government has said Venezuela can still avoid compulsory acquisition if it signs a sale agreement before the end of the debate on the Bill in the Senate.
