Granville Restorative Justice Centre to be reopened next week

Justice Minister Delroy Chuck has announced that by next week the Granville Restorative Justice Centre in St. James will be reopened and fully operational.  
  
A statement on Friday from the Justice Ministry said there is an urgent need to administer restorative justice practices to resolve conflicts in St. James.
  
Mr. Chuck and a team from his ministry has met with community leaders, Justices of the Peace, pastors and members of the Community Development Committee in Granville to discuss plans for the reopening of the centre.
  
The facility, which was opened four years ago, has been inoperable due to the disconnection of power supply and the need for re-certification of the building.
  
Additionally, more furniture and re-painting work are needed.
