Heavy security as 'Livity' Coke, co-accused appear before St. Andrew court

There was heavy security at the St. Andrew Parish Court Thursday as committal proceedings against alleged Tivoli Gardens area leader Leighton Livity Coke and six others accused of murder, continued.

Personnel from Mobile Reserve and other police operational units were posted on the roof and around the courthouse during the proceedings.

An armoured vehicle was also deployed to the location.

The judge who has been reviewing statements and hearing submissions from the defence over the past several months, adjourned the hearing until next Thursday.

Livity Coke, his brother Lanchester Coke, and nephew Christopher Coke Junior are accused of the March 12, 2017 murder of Patrick Davis, the alleged leader of the Screamers gang in Denham Town.

The other defendants are Iesha Jones, Delmarco Cephas, David Biggs and Wayne Page.

Mr. Davis was abducted from a hotel in the Corporate Area and taken to a location in East Kingston where he was killed and his body dumped.
