Investigations continue into Westmoreland quadruple killings

Residents of  Broughton in Little London, Westmoreland are in fear following the discovery of  four charred remains in a house in the community on Friday.  

The bodies of  three men and a woman were found shortly before 5 o'clock in the afternoon.  

Two of  the deceased have been identified as Susan Clarke,48, from Sweden and Alwayne Clarke,31 of St Elizabeth.  

Residents reported seeing the house on fire and called the police.  

After firefighters conducted cooling down operations, the bodies were found. 

“ I am very traumatised about the incident as I have just recently lost a brother - a younger brother and this has made things worse….. my brother was a peacemaker, he never liked trouble. His wife was very silent, not a talkaive person,” said his sister, Brittany Peart. 

Meanwhile, the police are trying to determine whether the victims had been shot.

“So far investigators have not yet established or confirmed the cause of death and are awaiting the results of a post mortem to do so. The bodies were badly burned and they will be using DNA to confirm the identity of the victims,” said  Dahlia Garrick - Operations Officer at the Jamaica Constabulary Force Corporate Communications Unit, Inspector Dahlia Garrick.                                                         

And the police are investigating the death of  a woman whose body was found in Long Hill, St James this morning.The body is believed to be that of  a foreigner.
