Jamaica Defence Force Private Orane Scott, who is charged with possession of an illegal gun, was remanded when he appeared before the St. Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday.
His case has been transferred to the Gun Court in Kingston for a bail hearing on Friday.
The JDF Private was arrested on October 7, when he was reportedly found in possession of a loaded nine milimetre pistol in Crescent, Spanish Town.
It was reported that the JDF private was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman.
A police patrol team responded and reportedly found the 26 year-old soldier with an illegal gun and 21 rounds of ammunition.
