In Friday's trading session, the JSE Index advanced by 49 points, to close at 158,968.
The Junior Market Index declined by less than a point, to close at 2,189.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 36 stocks, of which 22 advanced, nine declined and five traded firm.
Just over six million shares, valued at over J$88 million changed hands.
