Man sentenced to four years in prison for larceny

Michael Brown, who was found guilty of larceny in July, was on Monday sentenced to four years hard labour when he appeared before the St. Elizabeth Parish Court.

Mr. Brown gave verbal notice that he will be appealing his sentence.
He was arrested earlier this year following reports that he conned an elderly woman out of a quantity of cash.

On Monday, the court heard that Mr. Brown had more than ten previous convictions involving robbery and larceny dating back to 1980.
