Manchester man pleads guilty to making false declaration re ammo, bullet-making machine

A Manchester man, who was charged four years ago following the seizure of a large cache of  ammunition and a bullet-making machine at Kingston Wharves, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to false declaration. He will be sentenced on July 30.

Oneil Shrouder appeared before the Kingston & St. Andrew Parish Court where prosecutors withdrew the charges of importation of prohibited goods and dangerous explosives.

Mr. Schrouder was arrested and charged with importation of prohibited goods, false declaration and importation of dangerous explosives following the discovery of the bullet-making machine at Kingston Wharves on November 28, 2013.

Along with the machine, nine millimetre bullets, gun powder and other items relating to the making of  bullets were allegedly discovered in the shipment.

Mr. Schrouder's name and address were reportedly on the label of the barrels and boxes in which the items were discovered.
