A special monument is to be erected to honour the memory of members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) who die in the line of duty.
National Security Minister Robert Montague made the disclosure at the Ministry of National Security’s inaugural awards ceremony for members of the JCF on Thursday.
Montague, who has so far received two designs for consideration, has also invited JCF members to submit designs for consideration or suggest ways in which those received might be used.
The National Security Minister also disclosed that the Ministry has ordered a hearse that will be used for funerals of police personnel.
