Municipal police officers in St. Elizabeth - restive

Municipal Police Officers attached to the St Elizabeth Parish Council are growing impatient over the delay in signing their work contracts for  2014/2015.

The officers have been complaining of  what they describe as disrespect and mistreatment from the head of  the commercial services department of  the Council.Reports are that since Tuesday several of  the municipal officers have been calling in sick.

First Vice President of Jamaica Association of  Local Government Officers (JALGO), Seymour Watson, told RJR News he is aware of  the situation and has been seeking a meeting with the Council to have the matter addressed. 

When RJR News contacted Black River Mayor, Everton Fisher, he said said the matter is being dealt with .
