PAAC chairman intends to reconvene before House of Representatives

PAAC Chairman Dr. Wykeham McNeill

Dr. Wykeham McNeill, Chairman of the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee (PAAC), said he intends to resume sittings before the House of Representatives is reconvened in September.

This is due to the many issues that have surfaced at state entities that need further ventilation.

Among them are allegations of mismanagment and corruption at National Energy Solutions Limited (NESOL) and fraud at Dunn's River Falls and Park.

Dr. McNeill said the concerns relating to the depreciation of the Jamaican dollar and former National Security Minister Robert Montague overruling the board of the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) in 29 cases also requires more probing.

He was speaking at the People's National Party's Manchester North Western conference on Sunday night.
