PNP considers scaling down national conference as financial woes deepen

The financial woes of the People's National Party (PNP) have reportedly worsened.

Sources have revealed that the party's executive is considering scaling down some of the activities for the 78th Annual National Conference, scheduled to take place from this Friday to Sunday.

Questions have been raised about the party's ability to stage aspects of the conference.

PNP executive members were scheduled to meet Tuesday morning to decide whether the party will go ahead with Friday's session at the Chinese Benevolent Centre on Old Hope Road in St. Andrew.

Arrangements are advanced for Saturday's election for the posts of president and vice presidents.

A suggestion has been made by a member of the executive for the PNP to consider scaling down the public session at the National Arena.
