Polcie continue to probe St .Elizabeth quadruple killing

The Police are probing another quadruple killing this time in Claremont, St. Elizabeth.

Those killed have been identified as Ezra Wright,73 George Brown,60 and his brother Archibald Brown,56 all from the community.

The fourth person is Morris Sanderson,41 from Ginger Hill.

Reports indicate late Wednesday,  the two brothers were in Wright's shop playing dominoes when they were shot dead by a group of men.

The gunmen then shot Sanderson, a few metres away from the shop.  His throat was also slashed.

Commissioner of Police, Dr. Carl Williams was scheduled to visit the community  on Thursday afternoon

Meanwhile, Chairman of the St. Elizabeth Parish Council, Everton Fisher has called on residents to cooperate with the police in their investigations.

Fisher said residents can no longer remain silent in wake of the crime wave which has rocked that section of the parish for sometime.

He said the entire parish should also support the police in their fight against crime and violence:

Last year, a shop owner and a student of Maggotty High were shot and killed by gunmen during a robbery and shooting spree in Claremont.

For sometime, the St. Elizabeth Police have theorized that persons who are members of gangs operating in the neighbouring parish of St James have been creating havoc in Ginger Hill, Pisgah and Claremont which lies on the border of Westmoreland and St James.
