Police probe continues in death of JLP Councillor's son

The St Catherine Police are continuing their into Saturday's shooting death of the son of Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Councillor Peter Abrahams.

Kemar Abrahams,30, was found with a bullet wound at his home in Wakefield, St Catherine.

It's reported that, shortly after 10am Kemar, who lived with his mother, was at home when there was a loud explosion.

He was found with a bullet wound and was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The incident comes just four days after his father, Peter Abrahams, appeared before the St Catherine Court charged with breaches of the Firearms Act.

Abrahams was charged after the police seized his licensed firearm in a car with four men.

The men were charged, but were released by the court last week.
