Police officers who breach regulations governing the use of the bus lane on the Mandela Highway have been warned by the High Command to desist from the practice.
The matter was raised in the latest issue of the Force Orders.
It says despite a previous warning the practice continues.
According to the Force Orders, police personnel must immediately stop the improper use of the bus lane.
It said the Head of the Police Traffic Department has been mandated to ensure compliance.
A report on members found in breach of the directive will be sent to the Assistant Commissioner in charge of Operations who will determine the action to be taken.
