Samuda to meet with residents facing eviction from Red Hills property

As the deadline nears for the eviction of persons living at 85 Red Hills Road in St. Andrew, Karl Samuda, Member of Parliament for St. Andrew North Central, is to meet with some of the residents.      
   
The meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and is expected to discuss the way forward for the residents.
   
They have been calling for Mr. Samuda's intervention since the eviction and demolition exercise was delayed last week.
   
While some families remain, others have relocated ahead of Friday's deadline.
   
About 50 families, who say they have occupied the property for years, protested last week.
   
The owner is said to be planning to develop the property.
