The Education Ministry says there was a smooth start to this year's sitting of the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) exams.
A statement from the Ministry Tuesday afternoon said the exam started on time, all scripts were in place and the exam centres were observed to be properly arranged.
More than 39,000 students at the grade-six level are registered to sit the second staging of the PEP exams which began Tuesday with the Ability Test.
The Language Arts and Math tests are set for March 19 and 20.
