Treveen Palmer-Miller, a nurse who workes at the Spanish Town Hospital in St. Catherine, is the new Lasco/Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ) Nurse of the Year.
Palmer-Miller topped six finalists to cop the prestigious award at a ceremony in Kingston yesterday.
The award comes with a cheque for J$200,000 among a host of other prizes.
The runner up was Tashia Wedderburn-Harris of the South East Regional Health Authority.
Dr Adella Campbell, Programme Director and Lecturer at the Caribbean School of Nursing at the University of Technology, was awarded the third place trophy.
