Confirmation has come that Donald Foster is no longer the Managing Director of the Transport Authority.
RJR News reported on Friday that an acting Managing Director had been appointed to head the State-run entity. Mr. Foster spent his last day in office on April 29.
The new board of the Transport Authority, which is led by Joseph Shoucair, has assigned Audley Carter, general manager for operations, to oversee operations. This follows concerns about the renewal of Mr. Foster's contract which expired in March.
RJR sources revealed that the previous board of the Transport Authority indicated to Mr. Foster, in writing, that it had no difficulty in renewing his contract. However, Mr. Foster's reappointment was placed on hold following the change in administration.
