Trinidad & Tobago PM to lead delegation to Jamaica

The Government of Jamaica is expected to host a delegation, led by the Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago, during a four day official visit, starting Sunday.
       
Prime Minister Andrew Holness extended the invitation to Dr. Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago, during their bilateral discussions, in Havana, Cuba in June. Dr. Rowley and Mr. Holness agreed to seek an end the ongoing immigration dispute between both countries.
 
He will be accompanied by his wife Mrs. Sharon Rowley. RJR News understands the delegation will also include Trinidad's Foreign and Caricom Minister and Minister in the Attorney General's office, the Chief Secretary and his wife.
    
They are expected to discuss the signing of a Framework Agreement and the establishment of a Joint Commission, which is currently under negotiation.
     
The Trinidad & Tobago Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the Chairman of the CARICOM/ CARIFORUM Review Commission, pay a Courtesy Call on the Governor-General and meet with the Leader of the Opposition.
    
Dr. Rowley is also expected to engage with heads of private sector bodies and entities on trade and business development.
      
He will also address the 22nd Session of the General Assembly of the International Seabed Authority, which is underway at the Jamaica Conference Centre.
