Two held following drug seizure at Sangster International

Two persons are in police custody following the seizure of ganja and cocaine at Sangster International Airport in St. James.
 
A news release from the police said members of the Narcotics Division arrested and charged 50 year old Richard Ramsey of a London, England address and Micheal Gardener, a resident of Negril, Westmoreland.
 
They have been charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
 
According to the police, both men arrived at Sangster International on Tuesday and were in the process of checking in to board a flight to London when they were stopped and searched.
 
Ganja weighing 24 pounds and two and a half pounds of cocaine were reportedly found concealed in their suitcases.
 
The drugs are valued at $96,000 and $1.5 million respectively.
 
The men are scheduled to appear before the St. James Parish Court on May 30.
