A member of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) is under investigation in connection with Wednesday night's murder of another member of the military in Rock River, Clarendon.
The soldier, who is considered a Person of Interest, is on lock down at Up Park Camp as the military and the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) gather evidence in the fatal shooting of Lance Corporal Michael Fraser.
He was killed at his house by men travelling on a motorcycle.
Investigators on Thursday questioned a woman who was at the house at the time of the shooting.
She is the wife of the soldier listed as a Person of Interest.
A senior investigator told RJR News that the police are trying to determine whether a love triangle is at the centre of the killing.
