Firefighters are now battling a major blaze at the Wisynco warehouse at Lakes Pen St. Catherine.
The fire is believed to have started sometime after 4.00 p.m., and is reportedly confined to a large warehouse at the manufacturing company. The warehouse is reportedly 250,000 square ft in size.
All members of staff at the warehouse have reportedly been accounted for.
At least ten fire trucks are on the scene fighting the blaze.
Wisynco is one of Jamaica's largest manufacturing companies.
UPDATE
At 6.00 p.m., the fire was reportedly spreading beyond the original location. Additional fire fighters were being brought in to combat the blaze.
