Woman charged with abduction after taking child from school

A woman who is accused of picking up a student from a school in Kingston on Wednesday, without the parents' permission, has been charged.
 
Thirty-one-year-old Saskia Aarons, a security guard of Mona Commons, has been charged with abduction.
 
The Hunts Bay Police report that, about 1:30 p.m., a father went to pick up his child when he was told someone else had taken the child.
 
After further checks, it was revealed that Ms. Aarons took the child without the parents' permission.
 
She was contacted by the child's mother who met with her on Waltham Park Road, where the mother took the child.
 
A report was made to the police and an investigation launched.
 
Ms Aarons' vehicle was subsequently intercepted.
 
She was arrested and then charged.
