Worker negligence led to latest JUTC bus fire

Chairman of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC), Garnet Roper says worker negligence may have been a factor in Friday's fire which damaged one of  the entity's buses in Papine, St. Andrew.

According to Roper a plan will be implemented to improve the attitude of employees at the company.

He added that the damage was not as extensive as previously thought A probe is in progress.

It's reported that shortly after 8am on Friday, the driver noticed that the engine of the bus was engulfed in flames.

No one was injured .
