Cuban President Raul Castro, in France since Saturday, was hosted at a welcome ceremony on Monday under the Arc de Triumph in Paris where he performed the traditional laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the playing of both national anthems.
French President Francois Hollande then met with his Cuban counterpart at his official residence, where they held a press conference, before a state dinner to honour the Cuban president.
Mr Castro is leading a delegation that includes his Foreign and Foreign Investment ministers and Vice-President.
