Anderson let down by quality of presentation for CFU post - says first VP

Voice of CFU 1st Vice-President Cheney Joseph

First Vice-President of the Caribbean Football Union Cheney Joseph believes Jamaican Raymond Anderson who contested the recent elections for the 4th Vice-President position, may have been let down by the quality of his presentation to the delegates.

Anderson ran on the slate of re-elected President Gordon Derrick but was unsuccessful as Richard Dijkhoff of Aruba was elected to the 4th VP position.

“He spoke a lot about what he has done in Jamaica but I think somewhere along the line there needed to have been a little bit more regarding his ability to work with the people who had already been elected; I don’t think he sold that part of it well. In fairness to him though, I think the lateness of his declaration and maybe some people betrayed him because talking with him after the elections, he said a lot of people had committed to giving him a vote and they didn’t,” said Joseph.

Joseph was speaking on Wednesday afternoon's edition of ‘Sports Grill’ on Hitz 92 FM. The new executive will serve for four years.
