Bravo halts West Indians' collapse in warm-up contest

Darren Bravo provided stability for the West Indians who closed  day one of their 4-day tour match against the Cricket Australia X1 in Brisbane on 154-6 after electing to bat. Bravo was unbeaten on 46 at stumps, with Carlos Brathwaite on 25. He had shared in a 32 run partnership with captain Jason Holder to take the team from 83 for 5.

Jamaicans Marlon Samuels had made 19 and Jermaine Blackwood one on the day curtailed to 60 overs by rain.

It’s the only warm-up for the West Indians for the 3-match test series against Australia starting on December 10 in Hobart.
