Canada cuts Jamaica's lead in Contender Series

Jamaica is now holding a slender 4-3 lead over Canada in the 2018 Wray and Nephew Contender Series for the welterweight title following the seventh preliminary fight on Wednesday night at the Chinese Benevolent Association headquarters.

Jamaican debutant Sean-Antonie Johnson suffered a 4th round TKO loss to Canada’s Ricardo ‘Magic Man’ Salas after referee Ian Jardine stopped the fight 50 seconds into Round 4. Salas who qualified for the quarter finals, improved his record to 8 wins with 7 knockouts and 1 loss. Next Wednesday, Jamaica's Fabian Tucker will oppose Canada's Jeff Tabrizi.
