Barbados' Under- 19 cricket team reached 175-5 against Jamaica on the opening day of the first three day regional Under-19 match in St Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday. Jamaica's captain Raewin Senior led the way with the ball with 4-43 from 19 overs. Debutant left-arm spinner Sanjay Brown also chipped in with 1-32 from 9 overs.
Shian Brathwaite led the way for Barbados with 87 before being dismissed by brown. Day two will bowl off at 8:30 am Jamaica time on Saturday. In other matches in the region, the Leeward Islands were bowled out for 116 against Guyana who reached 58-2 at stumps. And the home side the Windward Islands were bowled out for 238 by Trinidad and Tobago who reached 1-0 at stumps.
