Diamond Mile clash between stable companions doubtful

The anticipated match-up between 2-time Horse-of-the-year, Seeking My Dream and stablemate and Triple Crown winner She’s A Maneater in the third staging of the Diamond Mile, may not materialize because of a possible oversight. 

Trainer Wayne DaCosta is looking to give the two time Diamond Mile winner Seeking My Dream  a run out in early September, to test his readiness for a possible appearance in the Governor General Stakes and possibly the Diamond Mile.

“We are keeping our fingers crossed that he will be ok on Diamond Mile Day but first of all he has to earn the money to get into the race and right now he’s about  $1 million behind” said DaCosta.

Meanwhile, Director of Racing at Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited, Chris Armond says changes will be made to the eligibility rule for the 4th staging of the Diamond Mile next year.

Among the proposed changes is the plan to make the 2016 Diamond Mile winner an automatic entrant for the 20176 staging.
