Voice of former Netball Jamaica President Marva Bernard

Former Netball Jamaica president Marva Bernard could ink a deal with the Inter-Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA) to assist in the growth of netball in schools.

Bernard, who is treasurer for the Americas Federation of Netball Associations (AFNA), retired from Netball Jamaica in 2015 after 10 years in the post.

Speaking on Hitz 92 FM's talkshow Girls Sports Club on Monday, Bernard revealed that she has already held talks with the governing body for school sports.

“I think that it’s a gold mine of opportunity for young girls. When I see the FLOW Cup I say why not for netball. It is out of the ISSSA competitions that our Sunshine Girls have come,” said the former president.
